How Does The Bible Define A Man Who Commits Adultery?

There are many verses in the Bible to warn people not to commit adultery but i just want to share here two of my bible readings today which are found in Proverbs 6:32-33 and I want to share them here in different versions:

New International Version:

"But a man who commits adultery has no sense; whoever does so destroys himself. Blows and disgrace are his lot, and his shame will never be wiped away."

Amplified Bible:

"But whoever commits adultery with a woman lacks heart and understanding (moral principle and prudence); he who does it is destroying his own life. Wounds and disgrace will he get, and his reproach will not be wiped away."

The Message Translations:

"Adultery is a brainless act, soul-destroying, self-destructive; Expect a bloody nose, a black eye, and a reputation ruined for good."

New Century Version:

"A man who takes part in adultery has no sense; he will destroy himself. He will be beaten up and disgraced, and his shame will never go away."

New Living Translation:

But the man who commits adultery is an utter fool, for he destroys himself. He will be wounded and disgraced. His shame will never be erased."

New King James Version:

"Whoever commits adultery with a woman lacks understanding;  He who does so destroys his own soul. Wounds and dishonour he will get, And his reproach will not be wiped away."

Thoughts: These verses are very strong. If you consider yourself intelligent and wise but commits adultery, in the eyes of God, you're still a fool. Adultery is a brainless act. Think about it. I pray that God will make you more faithful to your spouse.
