"This Could Be Love & I Will Be Here"

Thinking of Wedding Songs? If you have talent in song writing, why not write a song for your wedding or while you're courting. That would be so sweet. If my future husband would write a song for me or just even write a poem for me, i would consider that as a treasure and that would give me "kilig -to-the bones" feelings:).

Steven Curtis Chapman, songwriter and singer wrote these two songs "This Could Be Love" And "I Will Be Here ."

Steven wrote "I Will Be Here" for  his wife and that is so sweet....that's my most favorite love song. Every time i hear that song, it touches my heart and my prayer is, i hope that would also be the song and promise of my future husband to me:) and that's also my prayer for you and your future spouse. This song is very inspiring and i really believe it is great for wedding and it could be your marriage  theme song .

And here's a bonus for you..."This Could Be Love"- Steven's first love song...this song, on the other hand, is good when you're still dating or courting. I researched from youtube.com and these two songs are in one video but before you click  that video which i posted below,  read first the lyrics of these songs.

THIS COULD BE LOVE

Last night at the football game
I held your hand for the very first time.
I felt something I couldn't explain,
Now I can't get you out of my mind.

Since I woke up this mornin',
my knees are shakin'
And my head is spinnin' too,
Oh this could be love,
or this could be the flu.

Chorus:

This could be love baby,
or this could be the flu.
I guess this knot in my stomach could mean that I really like you
I can almost feel my temperature risin' again,
I can't tell you what I'm goin' through.

This could be love,
or this could be a very bad case...of influenza
This could be love or this could be the flu
but if it's the flu,
I hope I didn't give it to you

I WILL BE HERE

Tomorrow morning if you wake up
And the sun does not appear,
I will be here.

If in the dark we lose sight of love,

Hold my hand and have no fear,
Cause I will be here.

CHORUS

I will be here when you feel like being quiet;
When you need to speak your mind, I will listen.
And I will be here when the laughter turns to crying;
Through the winning, losing, and trying, we'll be together,
Cause I will be here.

Tomorrow morning if you wake up

And the future is unclear,
I will be here.

As sure as seasons are made for change,

Our lifetimes are made for years,
So I will be here.

CHORUS

I will be here, and you can cry on my shoulder;
When the mirror tells us we're older, I will hold you.
And I will be here to watch you grow in beauty,
And tell you all the things you are to me;
I will be here.

I will be true to the promise I have made,

To you and to the One who gave you to me.

Things I've Learned Regarding "Pre-Wedding" Based from Genesis 2:18-25 (Part 2)

It's been a long time since i haven't posted here on this blog site. I've been focusing on my first blog site but I'm back .

I've shared the part 1 of the things i've learned regarding pre-wedding from Genesis 2:18-25 last time and here's the part 2.

"Adam Was Given A Job First Before He Was Given A Wife" (Genesis 2:15-25)

I got this thought from the sermon yesterday of our Pastor in our Sunday  Church  Service and i thought of adding it here. I like that thought. God is so wise that before Eve was given to Adam, God gave Adam work first. In application to our lives, think about it, you're asking to have a wife or a husband but u don't have work yet, how are u going to support your family? Be practical.

God Will Make Sure That You And I Will Be Delighted In The Husband /Wife He Would Give (Genesis 2:23)

In that verse, we could see that Adam was loved at first sight with Eve. He was delighted when God presented Eve to him. That scene i believe was so exciting not only to God but especially to Adam and Eve. Adam was so used in seeing different animals and for him, no suitable partner was found from those species but when he saw Eve, At last! she is the one! I love how The Message Translation wrote it: "The Man said, "Finally! Bone of my bone,  flesh of my flesh!".Note the word "finally."

I remember what my other sister told me. Her connect group leader prayed for her like this: "Lord, give her a godly and goodlooking husband." And he explained to her why he prayed for her like that. He said, "Because, if our partner in life is only godly but ugly, its not delightful, isn't it?" So everytime our Area Pastor visits me and my sister and prays for a "godly husband" for us, we always add to his prayer, "and goodlooking husband , Lord."....hahaha.

Enjoy Your Time With God And God's Creation In The Time Of Waiting, Don't Complain About Your Singleness (Genesis 2:19)

Adam saw different kinds of animals with their mates but he didn't complain to God and said, "Lord, why is it that every animal has it's partner but i don't have?" But  he enjoyed what he was seeing and he even named them one by one. And I've noticed in that verse that God gave him freedom to name every animal God was bringing to him. Adam enjoyed his time with God and God's creation in the time of waiting.

I like this quote from the book True Love Weds (you can read my book review of it by clicking this). It says there, "Waiting is painful, heartbreaking, agonizing, excruciating, unbearable. yet it is all worth it! It's God's way of teaching us many, many things."

Yes, there is truth in it but instead of waiting in pain, heartbreak and agony, why not enjoy your time with God and his creation in the time of waiting? After all, girls, "man does not complete you or even for guys, "a girl" can't complete you. God completes you. " As one saying goes, "There is a God-shaped vacuum in the heart of every man which cannot be filled by any created thing, but only by God, the Creator, made known through Jesus." Things I've Learned Regarding "Pre-Wedding" Based from Genesis 2:18-25 (Part 1)

As i read and meditate on these verses (Genesis 2:18-25), I've learned a lot from them.

THESE ARE JUST SOME OF THE THINGS I'VE LEARNED :

God knows very well that it is not good for man to be alone." The LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him."(v 18)

God is the source of a spouse suitable for you and me. "... I will make a helper suitable for him."(same verse)

God didn't create the first man and woman at the same time.  "Now the LORD God had formed out of the ground all the beasts of the field and all the birds of the air. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name.So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds of the air and all the beasts of the field. " (vv 19-20).

God gave Adam time to enjoy his singleness and become productive in the garden of Eden.

Are you becoming impatient now for not meeting the suitable partner for your life yet? Look at your "garden of Eden"...enjoy your assignments, enjoy your singleness and enjoy God's creation...time will come that you'll meet him or her in God's time.

God knows the best and the right time for you and me to have a partner in life. "So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds of the air and all the beasts of the field. But for Adam  no suitable helper was found. So the LORD God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man's ribs and closed up the place with flesh. Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man." (vv 20-23)

Proverbs 3:1,6,8,11 say: "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven...a time to search and a time to give up...a time to love and a time to hate... He has made everything beautiful in its time.He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end."

God has his timing for everything and that includes time for finding a wife /husband, time to say, "finally! i've found him/ her" and of course a time for our marriage. If it's time for you to get married right after college, then go. If God wants you to get married at 40, be happy but don't go ahead of God's timing.

God is our partner in finding the best partner for us. " So the LORD God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man's ribs  and closed up the place with flesh. Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.The man said, "This is now bone of my bones nd flesh of my flesh;she shall be called 'woman,' for she was taken out of man." )vv 21-22)

Proverbs 18:22 says, "He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the Lord."

Why do you think God would be very concerned in finding a mate for us?

Malachi 2:15 says "Has not the LORD made them one? In flesh and spirit they are his. And why one? Because he was seeking godly offspring.  So guard yourself in your spirit, and do not break faith with the wife of your youth."

God is so concerned because he is seeking godly offspring.

Searching for the best partner for you? Be partner with God first and trust Him to help you find that partner. I'm journeying with you in prayer.

The First Wedding

This was the first account of the first wedding. Genesis 2:18-25
(thanks to google.com for this illustration of the first wedding couple, Adam and Eve)

New International Version

"The LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him." Now the LORD God had formed out of the ground all the beasts of the field and all the birds of the air. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name. So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds of the air and all the beasts of the field.

But for Adam no suitable helper was found. So the LORD God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man's ribs and closed up the place with flesh. Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.

The man said,

"This is now bone of my bones
       and flesh of my flesh;
       she shall be called 'woman,'
for she was taken out of man."

For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.

The man and his wife were both naked, and they felt no shame."

Some Lessons To Learn:

Notice what God provided Adam for his wife: a helper suitable for him. I like the New Living Translation and The Message Translation have to say:

"Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.." (New Living Translation)
 - a helper just right for him...wow!

Here's what The Message Translation has to say:
"God said, "It's not good for the Man to be alone; I'll make him a helper, a companion."

First three questions i've learned from verse 19  before one gets married :

1) Is the person you're going to marry God's will for your life?
2) Do you think that person is suitable for you, a helper just right for you?
3) Do you enjoy his/her companionship? Do you enjoy his/her companionship more than anybody else's?

This is just a "taste" of the things i'll share here. Exciting to learn before you get married, isnt it? "Standby" for more posts . I'll post more biblical and practical perspectives (including the budget for every wedding need, etc.)
